I’m running the Bedford Marathon in October to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

As some of you will know this charity is extremely close to mine and my family’s hearts.

Help me support Alzheimer's Research UK

On October 17th I'm running the Bedford Marathon to raise money for Alzheimer's Research UK.

This cause is close to my heart, but I think it's something we can all agree is a horrible disease, not only for the individuals experiencing it, but also for the loved ones around them.

My grandad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease a few years ago, it's cruel seeing the effect it's having on him and my family around him too. He has always been such a happy man with such a kind heart, there's always a story or three to be told about his adventures, whether they be in the Falkland Islands, Poland, or somewhere else. I've spent hours listening to his stories growing up and that time is something that I will always cherish.

The current state of the world makes going through dementia more isolating than ever before.

Let's pull together and hopefully one day we'll be able to put an end to dementia so that other families can be spared this horrendous disease.
